Preamble
Canyoning Saint-Lary operates 7 days a week and can be reached by phone at +33 (0)6 71 65 09 70 or by email at canyoning-saint-lary@hotmail.com, every day from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.
A. General Information
Canyoning Saint-Lary is a local professional organisation authorised to offer guided canyoning activities supervised by State-Certified Mountain and Canyoning Instructors.
Details of each activity, including content and participation requirements, are described on the dedicated presentation pages.
For safety reasons, Canyoning Saint-Lary reserves the right to cancel or modify an activity depending on weather conditions or canyon accessibility.
Each State-Certified Instructor is covered by professional civil liability insurance with an insurer of their choice.
B. Activities and Equipment
Meeting point
Participants will meet either at the Canyoning Saint-Lary base (Intersport / Hôtel Neste de Jade, “Graoués”, 65170 Vignec) or directly at the canyon location, in France or Spain.
Equipment provided (mandatory)
- Two-piece neoprene wetsuit
- Neoprene socks
- Helmet
- Harness or protective seat
Required personal equipment
- Swimsuit
- Closed sports shoes (trainers). Water shoes are not recommended.
B.1 Kids Canyoning
Half-day activity, usually in the afternoon.
Optional jumps from 1 to 3 metres, playful slides, and an introduction to rope techniques (short abseils).
Minimum age: 5 years old.
B.2 Family Canyoning
Full-day activity.
Optional jumps from 1 to 7 metres, fun slides.
Abseiling is optional.
Minimum age: 8 years old.
B.3 Discovery Canyoning
Half-day activity.
Optional jumps from 1 to 5 metres, fun slides.
No mandatory abseiling.
Minimum age: 8 years old.
B.4 Sport Canyoning
Half-day or full-day activity.
Optional jumps up to 6–8 metres, fun slides.
One or more mandatory abseils or a zip line.
Minimum age: 12 years old.
B.5 Night Canyoning
Evening activity.
Optional jumps up to 8 metres, numerous slides, zip line.
Minimum age: 14 years old.
B.6 Winter Canyoning
Half-day activity.
Optional jumps from 1 to 6 metres, slides and abseiling.
Minimum age: 12 years old.
C. Prices, Booking and Payment
C.1 Prices
Prices include the loan of technical equipment and supervision by a certified instructor.
They do not include transportation to the canyon site or meals (for full-day activities).
C.2 Booking and Payment Terms
Any booking implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Bookings are made by phone (+33 (0)6 71 65 09 70) or by email (canyoning-saint-lary@hotmail.com).
If the activity date is more than 7 days away, a deposit of 30% of the total price may be required to confirm the booking.
The remaining balance must be paid on site on the day of the activity, by cheque, holiday vouchers (chèques vacances), or cash.
For stag or hen parties (EVG / EVJF), full payment (100%) is required at the time of booking.
D. Cancellation and Refund Policy
D.1 Cancellation by the Client
- Cancellation more than 48 hours before the activity: 30% of the total amount (or deposit) remains due.
- Cancellation less than 48 hours before the activity: 100% of the booking amount remains due.
D.2 Cancellation by Canyoning Saint-Lary
Canyoning Saint-Lary reserves the right to cancel an activity in case of:
- Unfavourable weather conditions
- Force majeure or any circumstance compromising participant safety
In such cases, Canyoning Saint-Lary will offer, whenever possible, a rescheduled date or a full refund of the amounts paid.
For safety reasons, any clearly inappropriate behaviour may lead instructors to refuse participation in the activity. In this case, refund conditions remain unchanged (see Section D).
E. Disputes
E.1 Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions, and any related contractual relationship, are governed exclusively by French law.
E.2 Jurisdiction
In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved amicably, jurisdiction is expressly granted to the competent French courts.
